NASA ITECH CYCLE 1 FORUM: WINNER

NASA iTech reaches beyond traditional government partners, soliciting ideas from commercialization-focused companies whose innovations could benefit NASA’s missions or strategic priorities. The forum connects innovators with NASA chief technologists, industry experts, and investors who could potentially invest in the cutting-edge technologies to help propel them to market.

The livestream is available here.

The 2021 NASA iTech Cycle I Forum is the pinnacle event of the 202 NASA iTech cycle, which also included three Ignite the Night events within the past year. As the representative of Full Cycle Bioplastics, we won the Tampa Ignite the Night event in March 2021.

Full Cycle won the May 27, 2021 event, judged by Chief Technologists at NASA. I authored our application, developed our pitch video, and participated in Q&A and impact table discussions with Co-Founder and Co-CEO, Dane Anderson. View the pitch and Q&A below.

Full Cycle’s extruded Polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA), a compostable, non-toxic, degradable alternative to oil-based plastics. By making PHA with food waste that would otherwise be landfilled, Full Cycle is tackling landfill avoidance on the front-end and displacing oil-based plastics on the back-end.

KEYWORDS: NASA, NASA ITECH, FULL CYCLE BIOPLASTICS, POLYHYDROXYALKANOATE, PHA, CIRCULAR ECONOMY, BIOPOLYMERS, CLIMATE CHANGE, CLIMATE SOLUTIONS.
